PF-310: a compact hydraulic scissor hoist for 8–10 ft dump bodies
The Prime Force PF-310 is our smallest, lowest-profile scissor hoist, designed for suitable 8–10 ft dump bodies. It is a popular choice for pickup and light-truck dump-bed conversions, as well as smaller dump trailers where mounting space is limited.
A 3.5-inch-bore hydraulic cylinder with a 10-inch stroke powers the hoist. Choose Hoist Only for a build with an existing compatible hydraulic system, a Standard Kit with your selected power unit, or a Premium Kit with charging equipment.

- Three power-unit choices in Standard and Premium packages: Primary Mover 12V, KTI 12V with gravity down, or Primary Mover 24V.

The 3-ton class identifies the model; actual lifting capacity depends on your installation. Account for moving body weight, material load, rear-hinge overhang, mounting geometry, dump angle and hydraulic pressure.

Choose your PF-310 package
Hoist Only
Choose this option when you are supplying a compatible hydraulic power system. No hydraulic power unit, control pendant or electrical accessories are included. Confirm the mounting hardware and safety-support components supplied with your order before purchasing.
To view pricing and purchase Hoist Only, select “Primary” under Power Unit Selection. This required menu selection does not add a power unit to the Hoist Only package. If switching from another configuration, select “Primary,” then select “Hoist Only.”
Standard Kit
The Standard Kit includes:
- PF-310 scissor hoist assembly with its 3.5-inch-bore, 10-inch-stroke hydraulic cylinder
- Mounting brackets and SD hinges
- Hydraulic hose and connectors
- Safety bar kit and Bridon load-control valve
- Your selected hydraulic power unit and matching control pendant
- Safety labels and installation manual
Premium Kit
The Premium Kit includes your selected Standard Kit configuration plus charging equipment matched to its voltage:
- Primary Mover 12V or KTI 12V: 12V RoaDCharger with up to 25-amp charging while driving, a 7-way connection harness and a 33-watt solar panel for maintenance charging.
- Primary Mover 24V: 24V RoaDCharger with a direct-wire charging connection. No solar panel is included; our current panel does not provide the voltage required for the 24V RoaDCharger.
Actual charging current depends on the charging source, wiring, battery condition and installation.

Choose your hydraulic power unit
- Primary Mover 12V: Select “Primary” for our standard double-acting power unit with a 2.2 kW / approximately 3 HP motor and a two-button power-up/power-down remote.
- KTI 12V: Choose the three-button configuration for power up, power down and the additional gravity-down option.
- Primary Mover 24V: Choose this double-acting unit to match a 24V battery system. Higher voltage does not automatically produce a faster dump cycle.
All three choices require a suitable electrical supply, properly sized cables and correct installation. If using your own power unit, also confirm pressure, flow, reservoir capacity, plumbing and controls.

The mounting dimensions describe the angled arrangement shown in the PF-310 drawing. The upper and lower spans total 7.56 inches, but that figure is not a universal closed-height or frame-spacing requirement. Check the actual mounting points, crossmembers, moving clearance and chassis obstructions.
Use the manual's mounting geometry and structural-support requirements, including support beneath the lower mounting feet. Body length alone does not establish fit or lifting capacity.

Should you choose the PF-310 or PF-416?
Choose the PF-310 when its compact size and applicable chart capacity fit your build. If you need more lifting capacity and have additional mounting space, compare the PF-416 scissor hoist.
The PF-416 moves up to a 5.5-inch cylinder bore and requires more installation space. Its larger cylinder and different hoist geometry provide substantially greater published lifting capacity in comparable applications.

PF-310 questions and answers
Can I use the PF-310 for a pickup dump-bed conversion?
Yes. Its compact frame makes it a popular starting point for suitable pickup and light-truck conversions. Check the moving body's dimensions and weight, expected material load, hinge position, chassis clearance and structural support. Use the Scissor Hoist Selector to evaluate your proposed setup.
Does the 3-ton class mean I can dump 6,000 lb of material?
Not in every installation. Available lifting capacity changes with body length, rear overhang, mounting geometry, dump angle and hydraulic pressure. Include the moving dump body's weight in your selection, and observe the truck or trailer's own payload and component ratings.
Does Hoist Only include a pump?
No. Hoist Only excludes the hydraulic power unit, remote and electrical accessories. Select “Primary” in the Power Unit Selection menu to purchase this configuration; that menu selection does not change the package contents.
What does Premium add to the Standard Kit?
Premium adds the charging package for your selected voltage. The 12V Premium configurations include a RoaDCharger, 7-way connection harness and 33-watt solar panel. The 24V Premium configuration includes a 24V RoaDCharger and direct-wire connection, with no solar panel. See the PF-310 purchasing guide for the full breakdown.
Which option gives me gravity down?
Select the KTI 12V three-button power unit with a Standard or Premium Kit. It provides power up, power down and gravity down. Our standard Primary Mover configurations provide power up and power down. Compare the controls and battery-use differences.
Why might a hoist struggle to begin lifting?
Starting a lift places significant demands on the hoist and hydraulic system. Load placement, moving body weight, mounting geometry, battery condition and hydraulic pressure can all affect performance. The published capacity charts assume 3,200 PSI; use the approved settings for the equipment rather than increasing pressure to compensate for an unsuitable load or installation.

Can the hoist face either direction?
An appropriately designed installation can use either orientation while preserving the required pivot locations, M dimension, attachment geometry and structural support. Reversing direction may help avoid chassis obstructions. Review the mounting explanation in our comparison guide and contact us to confirm an alternative layout before fabrication.
What warranty comes with the kit?

Use videos alongside the installation manual. Never work beneath a body supported only by hydraulics. Follow the manual's safety-prop procedures for an unloaded body; the safety prop must not support a loaded body.
Shipping and pickup
Kits ship on a pallet. Qualifying commercial addresses with a freight dock or forklift may qualify for free freight delivery; residential, rural and farm deliveries may have additional charges. Pickup is available in Mandeville, Louisiana. Confirm the applicable shipping quote when ordering.
